Fitness Industry Education, my experience

I’m a big believer in giving credit where it’s due. And in no small part there’s credit due to both Fitness Industry Education (FIE) and their tutor Tom Godwin, from Foresight Fitness. After much thought, in early 2013 I decided to make a move away from marketing, my career of a decade, and move towards my real passions – fitness & wellbeing.

Changing career (as well as finishing a house renovation and getting married – all at the same time) is pretty daunting. The first step, or rather hurdle to jump, is finding a training provider, of which there are a fair few. With my marketing and analytical background I did what came naturally – I made a massive spreadsheet, and compared all the options / providers / fees etc. And there was a single clear winner – Fitness Industry Education.

Once the PT Diploma started, it became clear that I’d made the right decision. There’s a hell of a lot more learning and knowledge required than you’d think to be a qualified PT. But the tuition and practice methods / support FIE and Tom used are great.

I couldn’t recommend FIE and Tom more highly.

I’ll actually be back with FIE in the near future to add a couple more certificates to my arsenal. So if your thinking of making a move into the industry, or just want a provider for CPD points, check FIE out.

  • Hi Duncan,

We’ve just seen this and thought we’d write back!

It’s always great to see our students doing well following their training with us. The Diploma was a good choice and I hope it equipped you well to begin your fitness career!

Get back in touch if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Thanks,

    The FIE Team

  • Hi Duncan,

Im just wondering what study method you chose, intense, distance or Saturdays? I am currently reviewing different courses and methods and wondering what your experience was like.

    Thanks!
